Sharing the magic...

I just received a video from a parent of their child doing the Bunny Stick song with a pair of wooden spoons. I confess that I ugly cried through the whole video, I was so moved. He was singing, crossing the midline and sequencing his movements all the way through the song from memory! I really miss seeing the children every day. Thank-you to those parents capturing these little magical moments so that I can still be a part of it. That is the part of my job that brings me so much joy; watching children grow and learn and surprise all of us with their creativity and expression. It feels new to me every time, even after practicing as a music therapist for almost twenty years. Despite this pandemic bringing so much disruption to our lives, I’m grateful that parents are able to witness some of the magic I get to share with children every day.
